Think Tanks
There is a number of state and private think tanks in Georgia. There is still no valuable market of expert analyses. Despite the Georgian officials are eager to upscale political analysis industry most of the think tanks still lack financial support and trained staff.
Private think tanks are either commercial analytical centers playing on polls and consulting grounds, or non-profit public foundations.
Most of the Georgian think tanks have a small staff of on average 10 experts. There are still a few political and electoral consultancies in Georgia providing expertise and technology since most of the political players usually resort to foreign companies, commonly Russian or American. Russian political consultancy “Niccolo - M” has a representative office in Georgia.
Most of the think tanks operate on the basis of international charity foundations support. Some of them represent international research companies in Georgia.
